To advance your own practice and knowledge enabling you to teach with confidence, uncover your inner teacher, to inspire your own students by finding your own style, voice and philosophy.
Drawing on ancient traditions of yoga practice to modern day insights, this 200hr Yoga Teacher Training will explore a broad spectrum of yoga practices, wisdom and philosophy.
Our asana practice will work from the grounding of Vinyasa Flow Yoga, a strong and flowing practice with emphasis on genuine personal enquiry and exploration of your own mind and body. From this genuine enquiry and exploration we will expand our practice to suit all needs. We encourage our students to find their own unique teaching style as the course unfolds. You will get the instruction, support and practice necessary for you to master all the postures you wish to master and give you the confidence to go out there and teach. From going over the basics to give a firm and unshaking grounding in good alignment, to advanced postures, pranayama and meditation techniques, in this Yoga Teacher Training you will learn not only to advance and deepen your own practice but to teach others with confidence, compassion and insight.
Anatomy and Physiology
Includes both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). Includes both the study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc).
Techniques Training / Practice Development
Includes asanas, pranayamas, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques. These hours will be a mix of analytical training in how to teach and practice the techniques and guided practice of the techniques themselves. Strong flowing practices: drawing on the traditions and teaching of Classical Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Dynamic Yoga, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara and others. Restorative practices: including props, deep relaxation, Yoga Nidra, Pranayama and Meditation.
Includes principles of demonstration, observation, assisting and correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student's process of learning and business aspects of teaching yoga alongside modifications for injuries, conditions, and different body types. You will learn to build each pose and vinyasa from the ground up so you can adapt every pose for all situations, for each different age group, body type and level of experience. Learn how to express your own creativity to develop your own sequences, vinyasas and variations, whilst using the right language to inspire your students.
Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers
Includes the study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers. A minimum of two contact hours must be spent on ethics for yoga teachers. We will explore the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy, from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Upanishads and the Bagavad Gita to the teachings and wisdom of modern day authors and teachers, to deepen your own understanding and experience of these teachings and practices. You will learn how these teachings can support you in your yoga practice, support your inner growth and uncover your inner joy, inner strength and peace, ultimately bringing you closer to your true nature.
Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing and giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.
Business and Mentoring
Essential insight into the yoga business and setting up as a teacher alongside supervision and mentoring to assist you through the start of your teaching practice
Our teacher training is a combination of continuous assessment, practical and written examinations. Graduation from the training is not a given. All areas must be complete and passed before certificates are issued.

2 years regular yoga practice. Don’t worry if you are not advanced or even don’t have a desire to be: think about who you want to teach – you only have to master enough asana practice to give you confidence and understanding for that. More important is your insight, empathy and compassion as a teacher, how you will guide your students.
This Yoga Teacher Training in Dublin is open to Yoga Practitioners who may not want to teach, but wish to deepen their own practice and understanding of Yoga.

As a full time, professional Yoga teacher with her own successful studio and more than 5,000 classes under her belt, Sarah draws on a wealth of practical experience to help you to be the best student and teacher of Yoga you can be.
“From the point of view of your own practice we will focus on getting you as confident and comfortable in your own body as possible, feeling knowledgeable and sure of alignment and modifications. We will work to advance your practice to where you want it to be, and uncover your inner strength and power.
We will take ancient yoga philosophies and apply them to ourselves, and our own modern lives so that they make sense to us and genuinely help us to live our lives more fully. We will uncover your inner peace, focus, calm and strength.
Then we will look at teaching the average yoga student. How do you work out what they need, and give them what they want at the same time?
How do you teach them yoga postures in a way which is helpful, clear and supportive?
How do you look at a body and know what you need to do for that unique person in that moment? We will look at different types of adjustment, how to make yoga safe and challenging for everybody, from a 60 year old beginner with arthritis in her knees to a 28 year old semi pro athlete looking to reduce risk of injury.
Learn how to teach philosophy to a diverse group of people whilst keeping them all engaged.

The course lasts approximately 12 months and contains approximately 180 contact hours. There are 6 modules and our course runs on two Sundays every month facilitating life outside of your training to continue on those weekends and reduce costs for those coming from outside Dublin.

The Pure Health Stress Clinic
The Pure Health Stress Control Programme is a four-session private 1 to 1 course designed to provide participants with training in a set of effective evidence based relaxation strategies. By relaxation, we mean more than just taking a nap or reading a good book. Participants will learn techniques designed to reduce muscle and mental tension and other symptoms of stress. The strategies taught in the course are well-researched and have been shown to be effective for a wide range of difficulties. This is guided self help and not therapy.
Some of the skills covered include:
A technique designed to help you breathe more slowly and deeply. This strategy can be helpful with problems such as panic attacks, chest "tightness," and shortness of breath caused by shallow breathing. It can also be used to assist you in developing a more relaxed state while in a stressful situation. We provide downloads and instructions for home practice.
Progressive and Passive Relaxation
Progressive relaxation is perhaps the most well-researched of all of the relaxation techniques. It involves focussing on specific muscle groups, adding tension to each group in turn, and letting go of the tension. Passive relaxation is similar to progressive relaxation and is preferred by some people. It does not involve increases in muscle tension and so is often more helpful for those with chronic pain problems. We train participants in the different component exercises and provide downloads and instructions for home practice.
This is a set of procedures designed to help participants anticipate increases in anxiety before they become unmanageable. A brief relaxation procedure is taught that participants can then practice when they recognize that tension is about to increase. We provide downloads and instructions for home practice.
Cognitive and Behavioural Change
Learn to recognise the thoughts and behaviours that contribute to your issue with stress and anxiety. By understanding the underlying thought processes you can change the reaction to those thoughts. All Stress and Anxiety is linked to our thoughts, the behaviour is in general a response to these thoughts. You will learn how to use your mind to control stress. We provide exercises and downloads for home practice.
Self Hypnosis and Imagery
Self Hypnosis can help you take control of thoughts and feeling which may have previously felt like they controlled you. Imagery can be a helpful addition to these exercises, many people need help to engage their visual side. We provide participants with guidelines and downloads allowing you to include self hypnosis and imagery in their relaxation practice sessions.
Who is likely to benefit from the course?
Most people can benefit from having a set of specific, effective relaxation strategies at their disposal and understanding what is happening when you are experienceing stress in order to fight it and then control it. Those who experience a great deal of anxiety or have a lot of stress in their lives may find the course particularly useful. Sufferers of Panic and Insomnia have also benefitted greatly from the techniques you will be taught. In addition, many physical problems (such as chronic pain, headaches, and irritable bowel syndrome) may be made worse by stress-related tension and can be helped with regular relaxation practice. Relaxation and Stress Control is not always a complete solution for any problem, but it can be a very useful resource for dealing with a large number of problems.
What does participation involve?
If you are interested in attending, you should be willing to commit yourself to attend all four sessions. Each session builds on the last, and you will be asked to set aside time every week for relaxation practice for the full duration of the course. You should be prepared to practice regularly for a number of weeks until the benefits of relaxation become obvious. You should find benefits building with each session.
- It is best to wear casual clothing, since you will be practicing the relaxation techniques during the sessions.
- You will be given a clear understanding of what creates Stress and Anxiety and how it affects your body.
- You will then learn to signal your mind and body that it is OK to relax
- Each session is backed up with instructions and downloads for that session
- Each session lasts 1 hour. You will have 1 session per week for 4 weeks.
- The sessions are led by Daragh O’Sullivan, a Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist who specialises in the treatment of anxiety.

He will bring the psychological techniques that are most effective for you into the Clinic. The unique thing about the Weight Loss Clinic is that it is not therapy, it is not based on fads, but it is a learning process, based on solid scientific principles, where you are encouraged to take control of your mind and body by learning techniques and tools to allow that to happen.
This clinic is for people who want to take action, but need help with motivation, focus or direction. Attendance at the Weight Loss Clinic is weekly for 4 weeks with an optional maintenance program afterwards.
